Five Star Review for SEE ME from Night Owl Reviews!

SEE ME has just received a Five Star Review from Night Owl Reviews!

Score: 5.00 / 5 - Reviewer Top Pick

Since she was a little girl, Charlotte Anders knew she was special—she just didn’t know why. It’s 1896 as the story opens, and all Charlotte wants is to become a funeral director like her father. A tragic fire at a lumber mill changes Charlotte’s life forever, and that of a young man who has perished in the fire.

Flash forward to the present day and we find Carly (formerly Charlotte) still very much alive and still mourning the death decades earlier of her beloved husband Jamie. Carly has lost contact with her only other eternal friend, Xander, and now she’s hearing voices in her head.
Carly accepts an invitation from an online friend to help him appraise his collection of Victorian photographs in hopes that the persistent suitor in her head will sense a male presence and leave her in peace.

Little does Carly know that Daniel Tremont is someone special, too. Not only is he eternal like she is, but he’s the young man from the lumber mill fire all those years earlier. Daniel has been searching for Carly for over one hundred years, and now that he has found her, he has no intentions of letting her go. But can he make her see who he really is?

SEE ME is a cleverly written paranormal romance novella flavored with a bit of horror. We meet Carly and Daniel, who are both eternal and searching for the missing pieces in their life. The reader is not bogged down with tons of fancifully written backstory, but introduced via a love story to two people who through no real fault of their own cannot die and are just struggling to get along with a never ending future. Emotionally driven, we feel their pain, we see their struggle, we elate in their happiness. The beauty of this story is its simplicity. When simple is done right it is beautiful, and SEE ME is beautiful. The quintessential paranormal romance.

5 Star Review for BACK TO YOU at Night Owl Reviews!

Back To You just received a FIVE STAR REVIEW at Night Owl Reviews!!

Score: 5.00 / 5 - Reviewer Top Pick

BACK TO YOU is actually the first novel in Natalie-Nicole Bates’ Unity based stories (Change of Address was released first for some reason). BACK TO YOU is a remarkable little gem that will resonate strongly with second wives or for those girls getting back into the dating game after the demise of a long term relationship. Personally, I loved it. Ms. Bates has a way of weaving a story that will simply punch with emotion. I especially loved the delightful secondary character Caleb Smith. I’m certainly hoping there will be a third Unity story, but until then, I highly recommend BACK TO YOU.

Lynsey Reznor is successful in every aspect of her life but one: Her love life.
After yet another failed relationship, this time with a rock star who failed to mention he was still married, Lynsey makes an impulsive decision to return to her home town of Unity to be near her old friends. But moving home brings about one very large complication: Her best friend’s brother Nick Lincoln, who Lynsey has loved since she was a teenager.

Although Nick once cared very much for Lynsey, he decided to marry another, hurting Lynsey deeply. Now a widower, Nick realizes that there is still a chance to reclaim Lynsey’s love, but at the price of coming clean from the past, something he’s not so sure he wants to do.

It's Here! My cover art for SEE ME

My beautiful cover art for my upcoming paranormal romance SEE ME is here! SEE ME will be released in October by Leap of Faith Publishing!

And here is the blurb...

Carly Anders  is hearing voices in her head. Another one of her kind is trying to contact her. She knows of the malevolent freaks—others who are eternal like her and seek out the weak to inflict pain upon. For years, Carly has held up huge protective walls to keep herself and her secrets safe. Now, physically and mentally exhausted, Carly needs protection and rest.

She accepts the invitation to visit an internet friend who needs help appraising a collection of antique photographs.  The situation is not ideal, but Carly hopes a male presence in her life will deter the determined suitor who haunts her thoughts and dreams.

Daniel Tremont is not what Carly is expecting.

The former funeral director has a secret of his own. Not only is he eternal like Carly, he is her creation from all those years before—her abomination she thought she killed.
Daniel has been searching for Carly for years. He knows she is the piece of his life that he has been missing for so long. Now that he has found her, he has no intentions of letting her go.

5 Star Review from Night Owl Reviews for Antique Charming!

Antique Charming just received a 5 star review from Night Owl Reviews!

Score: 5.00 / 5 - Reviewer Top Pick
Third generation funeral director Lizzie Morton has just purchased the long abandoned Nichols Funeral Home.  Soon after moving in to the upstairs flat, a late night knock at the door signals the arrival of a man claiming to be Adam Nichols, the former owner of the funeral home. The trouble is Adam Nichols owned the funeral home over one hundred years earlier.
At first, Lizzie doesn’t believe him, but soon she begins to wonder if he really is who he claims to be, and if he is, just what she has allowed to pass into her home.
Antique Charming is a gothic-style short story that will have you wishing for a full-length novel. Adam Nichols is a refreshing change from the garden variety vamps, shifters, and zombies that have flooded the market. At the end of the story, you will have more questions than answers, especially what exactly is Adam Nichols, and where has he been the last one hundred years or so. I found this story absolutely fascinating. I will be the first in line to petition Ms. Bates publisher to demand a full length novel!
